Leveraging adaptive servo-ventilation (ASV) to target a patient’s recent minute ventilation, the AirCurve 10 ASV offers truly personalized therapy for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), central and/or mixed apneas and periodic breathing. Auto-adjusting pressure support is designed to treat central breathing disorders, while auto-adjusting EPAP is suitable for upper airway obstruction.
Stabilizing breathing for central sleep apnea
The ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV algorithm learns the patient’s recent minute ventilation (MV) by mapping 13 points in the patient’s breath cycle. When pressure support or EPAP are necessary to stabilize ventilation, the algorithm responds rapidly mapping these seamlessly into the patient’s breath cycle.
The AirCurve 10 ASV learns, predicts, responds to and optimizes pressures to suit each patient’s own unique breathing pattern.
Features:
Stable. Minute Ventilation (MV) calculates tidal volume and respiratory rate over 13 points in each breath cycle, the minute ventilation algorithm rapidly adapts to changing ventilation needs automatically adjusting pressure support to break the cycle of hyperventilation and central events.
Comfortable. Easy-Breathe waveform recreates the natural inspiratory and expiratory cycles within the patient’s breath, delivering a smoother and more comfortable breathing experience.
Humidified. Climate Control delivers constant, comfortable temperature and humidity levels with the goal of increasing compliance by minimizing common side effects of therapy.
Adaptable. Supplemental oxygen compatible with up to 15 L/min of supplemental oxygen in CPAP and ASV modes and up to 4 L/min in ASVAuto mode.
Automatic. Auto-adjusts pressure for OSA events ASVAuto mode includes automatically adjusting EPAP to respond to changes in upper airway stability throughout the night.
Dependable. VSync constantly monitors the flow so that if an unintentional mask leak occurs, the device can quickly compensate for the leak and maintain breathing synchrony.
Remote-ready. Compatibility with AirView, our cloud-based patient management system, offers access to nightly therapy data and the ability to remotely manage and troubleshoot.
